Meet Russia Lifestyle Seminar in Coron, Palawan, Philippines

October 19, 2017, Coron, Philippines – Meet Russia, a lifestyle seminar that educates about Russian language and culture, took place  in Coron, Palawan, Philippines, a favorite tourist destination.  The seminar is organized by Armi Lopez Garcia, Honorary Consul of the Russian Federation in the Philippines and the Department of Tourism of the Republic of the Philippines, for the purpose of preparing tourism front-liners and stakeholders for the influx of Russian tourists.

At the seminar, Ambassador of the Russian Federation in the Republic of the Philippines Igor Khovaev gave a speech on the development of Russian-Philippine trade relations. Third Secretary Denis Karenin gave a lecture on Russian history and culture.

After the official part, the participants of the seminar–the Philippine managers of hotels, restaurants, guides and employees of the local Department of Tourism–had a Russian language lesson where they had the opportunity to get acquainted with the Russian alphabet, reading rules, and learn some useful words and expressions in Russian.
